To internally analyze a cause of a reception defect of a digital broadcast reception device, and to present a specific solution method to a user.
A digital broadcast reception device has a tuner 2 dialing a digital broadcast signal received from an antenna 1, a demodulation processor 3 performing demodulation processing to the digital broadcast signal dialed, a reception state analyzer 4 acquiring predetermined reception state information for determining a level of a reception state of the digital broadcast signal of a dialed object channel from demodulation results and analyzing the information, and an output means for output of estimation results of a cause of a reception defect of the digital broadcast signal based on the analysis results. The reception state analyzer 4 sequentially dials a predetermined channel which becomes a reception object and acquires reception state information, and estimates the cause of the reception defect of the digital broadcast signal based on the reception state information per channel. The output means outputs countermeasure information predetermined according to results of estimating a cause.
