The digital broadcasting/receiving apparatus is composed so that a user can select either a first registration format for registering information for specifying a program and a frequency including the program with one program as a registration unit or a second registration format for registering information for specifying only the frequency with one frequency as a registration unit as specific preset information to be registered in a preset memory. When one frequency is registered in the preset memory as the registration unit, the amount of data required as one unit becomes smaller than when one program is set to be a registration unit, thus increasing the number of units to be registered.
