To solve the problems wherein it is difficult to see a liquid crystal display screen arranged on the rear side of a digital camera under direct sunlight in terms of brightness, and the screen image is too small to see in the case of using as an electronic view finder, and also, the photographer must view the screen off the finder to confirm the photographed image.
For the single lens reflex digital camera, a liquid crystal display device is arranged on the bottom surface of a mirror box so as to be directed toward a finder screen, and in the case of confirming the photographed image, the photographer can view the image while looking through the finder by optionally rotating down the reflection mirror. In the compact digital camera, the liquid crystal display device is arranged in the vicinity of above or below and left or right of the optical finder, and the display screen is guided to the optical finder by using an optical means for converting the optical path for the optical finder, so that the display screen is seen through the eyepiece part of the optical finder.
