Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a dynamic image during a time scheduled before starting recording the dynamic image, when a still image is recorded during recording the dynamic image.
SOLUTION: A bit rate for recording the dynamic image is set by a user (step 21). The remaining time of dynamic image recording is calculated based on the set bit rate and the remaining capacity of a memory card (step 23). When the still image is recorded during recording the dynamic image (steps 26, 27), the bit rate is changed (step 29). The bit rate is changed so that the remaining time of the dynamic image recording is prevented from being rapidly reduced even when the remaining capacity of the memory card is rapidly reduced by recording the still image.
