The digital camera includes: a lens discrimination means 114 discriminating the kind of the interchangeable lens to be mounted; a data read-in means 113 reading appropriate exposure correction data from a storage means in accordance with a result of discrimination by the lens discrimination means; and a data write-in means 112 writing the appropriate exposure correction data read by the data read-in means in an internal memory, and performs exposure control by using the appropriate exposure correction data peculiar to the kind of the interchangeable lens to be mounted, which is written by the data write-in means.
