PURPOSE: To provide a digital camera capable of continuously changing a scanning line number in a sub scanning direction and photographing an object while preventing the generation of color slippage.
CONSTITUTION: An RGB position deviation correction circuit 19 decides a moving speed in the sub scanning direction of respective linear image sensors for making a value for which the mutual interval of the respective linear image sensors in a multi-column image sensor 13 is divided by a scanning line pitch on the projection of the object (a divisor value N) be an integer value from an internal table memory when a target scanning line number is inputted. The multi-column image sensor 13 is moved by a motor 14 based on the decided moving speed and reads the projected images of the object 10. Further, the RGB position deviation correction circuit 19 performs the line number conversion processing of image data after the projected images of the object 10 are read and generates the image data of the target scanning line number. Thus, without causing the color slippage, the scanning line number is continuously changed and the object 10 is photographed.
