Abstract:
PURPOSE:To automatically execute a color copying irrespective of whether an original is positive or negative by measuring the spectral transmission factor of the non-image part of a transparent original to decide the original to be negative or positive, removing the ground in case of a negative original, but processing a negative-positive inversion in case of the original is positive. CONSTITUTION:A CCD array 41 is provided in a position to read the non-image part B between the image parts A of the film 6; a light beam from a read lamp 44 that transmitted through the part B is color-decomposed by a white color decomposing filter 45, for instance, G/B filter, then optically converted by the array 41, and A/D-converted by an A/D converter circuit 57. The value after shading correction is stored in a memory 70. By using this image data of the non-image part B in a quantity equal to a length of one line, a decision as to positive film or negative film, the calculation for gamma-correction amount, and the calculation for the ground removing amount are executed. And, an inversion processing is executed by a negative-positive inversion circuit 60 in case of a reversal film, and a mask component removal processing is executed by a ground removing circuit 59.
