To evade to eject and stack recording paper at every print request to obtain convenience while eliminating mixtures by accepting printing request after a current printing output processes is ended if another printing request is made.
When a computer connected to, for example, an external connection terminal makes a print request, a CPU sets a changeover lever 6 to, for example, a lower tray 9 and starts printing output. Recording paper is ejected in order to the lower tray 9 after thermal printing. If another print request, e.g. a copy request is made during the said process, a copy wait command is generated and a read by a scanner part 2 for copying is placed in a stand-by state. After the printing from the computer ends, the stand-by command is reset and the changeover lever 6 is set to an upper tray 8; and the read for copying is made, its print is outputted, and recording paper is ejected and stacked on the upper tray 8 in order.
