Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow an operator to adjust a manipulated variable manually over a look at a process variable when a controller becomes faulty by providing a backup station with a changeover switch whose common terminal is connected to a display. CONSTITUTION:The backup station 12 is provided with the changeover switch 75 whose common terminal is connected to the display 42; when the controller 13 is normal, the process pointer 43 of the display 42 deflects by a signal from the converter 29 of the controller 13 and when the controller is abnormal, the pointer deflects by a process variable signal from a signal line 22a. Thus, the switch 75 is put in switching operation, so abnormality monitors 76 and 77 provided to the controller 13 output abnormality detection signals from the controller 13 and they are transmitted to the switch 75 through a terminal board 61. Thus, the switch 75 is switched to make a connection of a contact 75a and the process variable is indicated by the pointer 43, so the operator knows the process variable and sets the manipulated variable securely and manually.
