Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve content copyright protection or the like by simple distribution limit control processing, which controls maximum simultaneous distribution number for prohibition of content utilization beyond a range of private use, in such states that a plurality of networks of the same type are connected through bridges or repeaters and many apparatuses are mutually connected.SOLUTION: For electronic apparatuses with network distribution functions, such as digital broadcast receivers and digital recording and playback apparatuses, which create distribution information and transmit distribution information to networks, distribution limit determination is performed on whether or not distribution limit conditions that the number of specific apparatuses which is the number of apparatuses satisfying specific requirements of network connection exceeds a simultaneous distribution number are satisfied. When the distribution limit conditions are satisfied, creation and transmission of such distribution information are prohibited.
