Abstract:

To improve the multi-bus performance and to maintain the orthogonality of a Walsh code and also the low mutual relation characteristic of Walsh codes by deforming an orthogonal Walsh code by means of plural codes and improving the self-correlation characteristic of the Walsh code by means of the deformed orthogonal Walsh code that has a reduced self- correlation side robe.

Three bits of a 2nd set of 8-bit data symbols which are received from a converter 14 are supplied to a 2nd modulator 34. The modulator 34 generates a Walsh code of length 8 that is deformed by means of plural corresponding codes. The modulator 34 corresponds to a Q-phase modulation branch of an M-array orthogonal modulation MOK system 30, and this branch generates a-QW component of a signal to be transmitted. The modulator 34 also corresponds to the said three data bits and generates a Walsh code of length 8 at a chip speed of about 11 MHz that is controlled by a clock signal of 11 MHz.
