Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform extremely effective bidirectional transmission by performing transmission by lowering processing of a bit rate.
CONSTITUTION: Video signals or the like for which picture quality degradation is not allowed such as transmission signals 5' transmitted from a camera 1 to a CCU 2 are transmitted only by time compression or the like without degradation and return video signals or the like for which some picture quality degradation is allowed for letting a cameraman monitor on-line video images by a viewer frame such as the transmission signals 4-1' transmitted from the CCU 2 to the camera 1 are transmitted by lowering the bit rate by of band limination and data compression, etc. Thus, since the entire bit rate can be lowered, a transmitter capable of most effectively performing bidirectional transmission by the transmission line of the limited transmission bit rate is realized and a frequency band required for the transmission is narrowed. In such a manner, without degrading the most required signals, a hardware amount is reduced, the limitation of a transmission distance is reduced and the bidirectional transmission is effectively performed.
