Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital signal multiplexing device, etc., which multiplexes a primary multiplex stream without breaking down receiving and processing of a decoding side, even in a system with synchronization.
SOLUTION: In a multiplex system 1, each primary multiplexer 2a to 2n multiplexes plural elementary streams in time sharing and also produces a primary multiplexed stream to which a time standard reference value (PCR) has been added. A secondary multiplexer 3 further multiplexes each primary multiplexed stream and produces a secondary multiplexed stream. Each system clock Cp1 and Cr does not take synchronization. A time information correcting part 6 corrects the PCR of an output timing of the primary multiplexed stream into an output timing of the secondary multiplexed stream. Also the part 6 compares the PCR before correction with a PCR' after the correction. A switching part 5 inserts a dummy packet when the difference of the PCR exceeds threshold and adjusts the difference so that it does not increase continuously.
