PURPOSE: To obtain the device that can be utilized for evaluating digital sound data recorded in the digital sound track of a negative and positive films by switching reproduced data with inverse-reproduced data for supplying to a signal processing means.
CONSTITUTION: Discrimination is made between a positive or a negative film on a movie film 1 based on reproduced data read out by read means 2-6 and, by its discrimination output, switching control is performed by a switching means 8. As a result, a signal processing means reproduces digital sound data from the reproduced data of the positive film read out by the read means 2-6, reproducing digital sound data from the inverse-reproduced data of the negative film read out by the read means 2-6.
