Title:
DIGITAL SOUND VOLUME ADJUSTING CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01155707
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the provision of a variable resistor or other components to an analog circuit by shifting a bit representing an audio component in a digital audio signal to low-order bit in response to the pulse number of the shift clock. CONSTITUTION:A digital audio signal subjected to level control, that is a data signal is latched by a 1st latch group 40 at the leading of a sampling pulse and bits from a bit (MSB-1) lower than the MSB by one in the N-bit data signal to the least significant bit (LSB) are given to an input terminal A of selectors 53-56 and a signal at each input terminal A is selected when a load pulse is at an L level. Bits below the (MSB-1)th order are shifted one by one bit at each input of the shift clock. Then 15 bits below the (MSB-1)th are shifted in response to the pulse number of the shift clock to attenuate the voice in the audio signal in response to of the level control signal.
