Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital switching amplifier whose power efficiency is satisfactory and which can obtain a sufficient S/N even if the amplitude of an input signal is small.
SOLUTION: A digital switching amplifier is provided with a quantizer 3 which ΔΣ-modulates an input analog signal and converts it into a digital signal and a pulse amplifier 6 which switch-controls the application of constant voltage to a load by a switching control signal corresponding to the digital signal. The quantizer 3 converts the analog signal into the positive/negative digital signals which are not less than quaternary and are even number values. The pulse amplifier 6 switch-controls the application of constant voltage to the load by the switching control signal corresponding to the positive/negative digital signals which are not less than quarternay and are even number values.
