Title:
DIGITAL-TO-ANALOG CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57201327
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize a highly accurate digital-to-analog (DA) convertion economically by dividing a digital data into upper bits and lower bits to convert into analog signals respectively and reading out the conversion error data of the upper bits from a memory to compose the whole data.

CONSTITUTION: Upper 8 bits and lower 8 bits of a digital data consisting of 16 bits are converted into analog signals by DA converters 1, 3 respectively. The upper 8 bits are inputted to a memory 4 and a digital data for correcting an error of the DA converter 1, which has been previously stored in the memory 4, is read out and inputted to a DA converter 2 to output an analog signal. Outputs of the DA converters 1, 2, 3 are weighted by a weighting circuit 6 and composed, outputting a DA converted analog signal with high accuracy.
