Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily set the pedestal level by setting the optical black digital signal level of a solid-state image pickup element to the setup level of an output video signal, and A/D converting the signal. CONSTITUTION:The optical black level of the CCD 1 is fixed to a level equal to the setup level of a camera output by a control loop consisting of an analog processing circuit 8, an A/D converter 9, and an optical black level detecting circuit 10. Thereafter, such as gamma and clipping processings are executed in a ROM 11. Then, the blanking period is reset by a reset circuit 12 in order to set the pedestal level.
