To provide a digital video reproducing device capable of reproducing right-eye video and left-eye video from pieces of multiplexed video.

Multiplexed video data, in which right-eye video data and left- eye video data are multiplexed, is recorded in a recording medium 50. The data read from the recording medium 50 is decoded in accordance with the MPEG standard by an MPEG decoder 9, adaptable to B 525 which in turn is adaptable to non-interlace system. Each piece of the right-eye video data and the left-eye video data is taken out from the multiplexed video data to be obtained and a processing to convert it into a format which is in matching with a corresponding monitor is performed by stereoscopic image output circuit 10.
