Abstract:
To provide a dimming cell and a method for manufacturing the cell, by which pressure applied to a dimming cell in a glass lamination process can be uniformly dispersed, and a dimming device and a method for manufacturing the device.SOLUTION: A dimming cell 20 includes: a film type first laminate 21 containing a first substrate 24 and a first transparent electrode 25; a film type second laminate 22 containing a second substrate 27 and a second transparent electrode 28; a plurality of columnar spacers 40 disposed between the first laminate 21 and the second laminate 22; and a liquid crystal layer 23 disposed between the first laminate 21 and the second laminate 22 and among the plurality of columnar spacers 40. The columnar spacer 40 is adhered to the second laminate 22 but not adhered to the first laminate 21. The columnar spacer 40 has a top face 41 and a side face 42, the top face 41 of the columnar spacer 40 is flat, and a corner between the top face 41 and the side face 42 has no curvature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
