Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a stable dimming operation to be effected by incorporating a liquid crystal into the lens of ahead lamp whereby applying electric voltage to said liquid crystal for changing the quantity of light emission by the head lamp. CONSTITUTION:When a key switch 25 is turned on, a relay coil 26 is energized for changing a dim DAITSUPRILACE switch 20 so as to sending current to a small lamp 21 and a dimmer beam filament 19 through diodes 22 and 24. Then electric voltage is applied to a liquid crystal 23 through a switch 20 thereby the liquid crystal 23 can check the quantity of light passing through a lens 10. Accordingly, the quantity of light emission by a head lamp can be changed without changing voltage applied to an emitter by means of a resistor. As a result, scattering in light intensity due heat is eliminated, thereby ensuring a stable dimming operation.
