Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the direct positive silver halide photographic sensitive material high in sensitivity and the difference between the maximum and minimum densities of an obtained positive image and their discriminability and capable of stably forming an image against variation of external environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity.

CONSTITUTION: The direct positive silver halide photographic sensitive material has on a support a silver halide emulsion layer containing nonprefogged internal latent image type silver halide grains and a part or all of crystal growth in these grains is executed in the presence of a gelatin in an amount of ≤25g per 1mol of silver halide or in the absence of it, and/or in the presence of a natural and/or synthetic material except the gelatin having protective colloid performance.
