Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct reduction iron-making method with which the decrease of necessary amount of coal gasified furnace gas and the reduction of developed amount of CO2 can be realized, in the direct reduction iron-making method for directly reducing oxidized iron-containing raw material.
SOLUTION: (1) This direct reduction iron-making method is peculiarly composed of: a coal gasifying process in which the coal is gasified in the coal gasifying furnace and the first synthetic gas containing reducing gas is generated; a waste material gasifying process in which the waste material is gasified and the second synthetic gas containing reducing gas is generated; a reducing process in which the oxidized iron-containing raw material is reduced by using the first synthetic gas and the second synthetic gas in a reducing furnace; a process in which the waste gas produced from the reducing furnace is cooled and washed; and a circulating process in which the cooled and washed gas is circulated into the reducing furnace. (2) In the above direct reduction iron-making method, it is specified to mix the above synthetic gas into the waste gas before cooling and washing, etc.
