Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a film for a metal plate laminate excellent in hot laminating properties to the metal plate and formability of a can without embrittling even after heat treatment or retort sterilizing treatment, etc., scarcely causing cracks or peeling even in a shock such as dropping and suitable for coating a metal can.
SOLUTION: This biaxially oriented polyester film for a metal plate laminate has (80-50)/(20-50) wt.% ratio (A)/(B) of (A) a polyester consisting essentially of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) to (B) a polyester consisting essentially of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and further the melting point of the polyester (B) within the range of ±20°C based on the melting point of the polyester (A) and ≤120°C heating crystallization temperature Tc.
