Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate manual handling for heavy articles by keeping a bolt horizontally, interposing a clearance adjusting plate between butted discs installed on disc mounting eyes by a specified number of clearance adjusting mechanisms, and pulling out the clearance adjusting plate after adjustment.
SOLUTION: A semicircular brake disc 37 has a circular arc part carried downward in a locate pin mechanism A by a crane, and two locate pins are operated to insert the tips thereof in right and left bolt insert holes 37a provided in the uppermost stage of the disc brake 37. After a bolt is inserted in the bolt insert hole 37a, a nut is temporarily fitted to a bolt part projected on the opposite side of a disc mounting eye 6 and fastened by an impact wrench mechanism B. On completion of fitting one brake disc 37, the disc brake 37 is fastened to the other disc mounting eye 36 with a clearance adjusting plate between them by two clearance adjusting mechanisms E. After fastening, the clearance adjusting plate is pulled out by a cylinder 40 to form a designated clearance between both disc brakes 37.
