Abstract:
To provide a disk discrimination device that is not easily affected by disk wear or scratches, capable of discriminating for a shorter time, with high accuracy and at relatively high speed.SOLUTION: A disk discrimination device retains a plurality of reference images respectively corresponding to a plurality of reference disks to be identified as the same kind of genuine disks, and a plurality of reduced reference images obtained by reducing the plurality of reference images. A discriminated image is generated by a discriminated image generation part based on a captured image of a disk to be discriminated, and a reduced discriminated image obtained by reducing the discriminated image is generated by the reduced discriminated image part. A discrimination part selects any one of the plurality of reference images based on the comparison result between each of the plurality of reduced reference images and the reduced discriminated image, and discriminates whether the disk to be discriminated is genuine or not by comparing the selected reference image and the discriminated image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
