Title:
DISC DRIVE MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3208042
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a disc drive motor in which the positional accuracy can be enhanced between a read/write head on the body side of disc drive and a rotary shaft by enhancing the positional accuracy between a motor board and the rotary shaft.
CONSTITUTION: The disc drive motor comprises a rotary shaft 12 supported rotatably by a radial bearing 8 while abutting, on one end side thereof, against a thrust bearing 7. The thrust bearing 7 is fitted in the radial bearing 8 which is fixed with reference to the outer circumferential surface of thrust bearing 7. A motor board 1 is provided with a fixing reference part 2 for the chassis 3 and a reference recess 1a for fixing the thrust bearing may be provided at a position predetermined with respect to the fixing reference part 2. Inner circumferential diameter of the radial bearing at the part to be fitted with the thrust bearing mat be identical to that of the surface for bearing the rotary shaft.
