This discharge amount control device for the variable displacement pump has a flow rate sensor mounted on a circuit returning to a tank from the variable displacement pump through a direction control valve, and detecting the returning flow while changing static pressure to kinetic pressure, an electromagnetic tilting angle control means for making the delivery capacity of the variable displacement pump variable, and a control means outputting an electric signal for making the delivery capacity variable in accordance with a flow rate signal of the flow rate sensor, to the electromagnetic tilting angle control means.
