Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction in the maximum value of discharge current in the over shoot of discharge current which occurs after a discharge switch 10 is turned off in a low temperature.SOLUTION: A comparator 43 outputs a low level signal to an AND gate 45 when the discharge current exceeds the threshold value. As a result, an AND gate 45 outputs the low level signal to the discharge switch 10, so that the discharge switch 10 is turned off. When the aluminum electrolytic capacitor 20 is at a room temperature, the threshold value is set to an aimed value I1 by the set of a selector switch 46 and when the aluminum electrolytic capacitor 20 is at a low temperature, the threshold value is set to an aimed value I2 of the discharge current by the set of the selector switch 46. The aimed value I2 is obtained by adding correction value ΔI to the aimed value I1. The correction value ΔI is set to make the maximum value of the discharge current after discharge switch 10 is turned off at the low temperature close to the maximum value VP2 of the discharge current after the discharge switch 10 is turned off at a room temperature.
