Abstract:

To inspect a discharge state of a nozzle of a discharge head in a state the a distance between the nozzle of the discharge head and a conductive wire is relatively long.

In a state that a potential difference is generated between each conductive wire of a conductive wire group 54 and each conductive wire of a conductive wire group 56, whether a conductive wire in inspection through which a current flows by an ink drop discharged from a nozzle of an inspection object is present is determined, and normal discharge, abnormal discharge or non-discharge is determined by comparison between the conductive wire in inspection and a conductive wire at a normal time through which a current flows when the ink drop is normally discharged from the nozzle of the inspection object. Thereby, the normal discharge, the abnormal discharge or the non-discharge can be determined in the state that the distance between the nozzle and the conductive wire group 54 or the conductive wire group 56 is relatively long.
