Title:
DISCHARGE TYPE IGNITION DEVICE OF PETROLEUM BURNER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2023034365
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a discharge type ignition device of a petroleum burner, which is not easily influenced by the change of a wick height and is capable of achieving a stable ignition performance.SOLUTION: A wick 5 is mounted in a gap in a wick holding cylinder 4, a discharge electrode 6 is attached to a position opposite to the side face of the wick 5 lifted and exposed, and a counter electrode 7 is disposed above the discharge electrode 6. The discharge electrode 6 is shaped so that the tip 6a thereof is tilted at a prescribed angle toward an outer cylinder 3 of the wick, with a bent section 6b of the discharge electrode 6 being positioned on the inner side relative to the wick 5, and the tip 6a protruding outward from the side face of the wick 5 at a position lower than the upper end of the wick 5. A discharge spark generated between the tip 6a of the discharge electrode 6 and the tip 7a of the counter electrode 7, is formed along the side face and the vicinity of the upper end of the wick 5, to ignite fuel supplied to the upper end of the wick 5. The wick 5 present on the periphery of the discharge electrode 6 is disintegrated in the process of lifting the wick 5, and thereby gaps are formed between the fibers constituting the wick 5 to allow air necessary for igniting fuel, to exist in the inside of the wick 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
