To provide an electrostatic charge-neutralizing material such as a discharging braid, discharging cloth, etc., decreasing the amount of the electrostatic charge by neutralizing the electrostatic charge on a material or human body in production activity of articles or daily movements of a human body so as to improve production efficiency and working environment, and alleviate the symptoms of fatigue of the human body, muscle pain, calf burr, etc.
This discharging braid is obtained by incorporating a paper slit tape made by a wet papermaking and containing 5 to 40% a carbon short fiber in the central part of the braid of a synthetic fiber. The discharging braid includes a function of neutralizing and removing the electrostatic charge when being approached to an electrostatically charged material either by non-contacting or contacting. By the similar mechanism, an article obtained by coating a synthetic fiber cloth and heat-treating, the discharging cloth without releasing fine dusts and obtained by laminating a thin cloth on the coated side, and the discharging cloth including a function of neutralizing and removing the electrostatic charge while storing or standing by packaging rolls or products having the electrostatic charge are also provided.
