Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the burden on a CPU constituting a disk controller and to increase the data processing speed without complicating the constitution nor increasing the cost of the disk controller.
CONSTITUTION: A disk controller 7 is provided together with a storage device 6 which includes many report areas A1-An, a CPU 4, and the deciding areas F1-Fn which decide whether the processing result is stored in each report area or not. Then, the controller 7 stores the processing result in the report area where the processing result is not stored yet and then ends the data processing operation when the processing results are stored in all report areas. A discriminating means 7a is included in the controller 7. Thus, the controller 7 stores the processing results in the areas A1-An based on the discriminated result of the device 7a and regardless of the data stored in the areas F1-Fn before the processing results are once stored in the areas A1-An.
