Abstract:
To build a system which can not only perfectly maintain the interchangeability of a disk section and a disk drive unit but does not depend upon an external system and to make an improvement in terms of security etc. by imparting a personal computer function to the optical disk device itself.
An electronic circuit 2 disposed in the disk device 1, which is attachable and detachable to and from the external system like an ordinary optical disk and is used by being attached thereto, controls the external system 10 in accordance with a signal read from a memory 3 disposed in the disk device 1 through the disk drive unit 4.
