Title:
DISK DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04258856
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable driving at low power consumption and at low cost with simple construction by attaching a plastic member capable of smooth sliding to a flexer and a part of a suspension arm. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head is supported by one end of a suspension arm 13 and a pressing force against a disk face is applied to it via a flexer 12. When the suspension arm 13 turns in the radial direction of the disk, the head is set apart from the disk with a cam means 8. To the part of the arm 13 and flexer 12 which slides the cam means 8, the plastic member, for example, a tape member 15 is attached so as to be wound around them. Thus, action force which sets the head apart from the disk by a prescribed amount can be reduced without causing sliding resistance to be rapidly increased at the time of sliding and without causing cut-off state, and the drive current can be greatly reduced.
