To provide a bearing holding structure of a disk drive motor, wherein stable fastening of a bearing housing is achieved in miniaturization, reduction in thickness, high reliability, and high precision which are further accelerated.
A disk drive device has a structure in which a bearing fixing protrusion is formed on the center of a bracket, a metal inner-diameter part is press-fitted in the protrusion, and a bearing housing outer-dimension part is bonded and fastened to the core holder inner diameter part. The inner diameter of the bearing as the center of motor rotation is directly press-fitted, so that the variation in distance from the motor fixing position to the center thereof can be ensured only with precision of the single bracket, thereby ultra-high precision can be ensured. Also, the bearing housing and the bracket are fixed and fastened with high reliability by using both press-fitting and bonding. Thus, this structure is available even in a motor requiring miniaturization and reduction in thickness.
