Abstract:
To provide a disk drive system capable of efficiently using a disk drive by a plurality of host devices.
The disk drive system is provided with; a hard disk drive 34, a disk drive 36, two host devices 30 and 32 for controlling these drives; bus switches 40 and 42 inserted to an ATA bus connecting the disk drive 36 and the host devices 30 and 32; and a switching control part 44 for switching the bus switches 40 and 42 in accordance with a type of an optical disk loaded to the disk drive 36.
