PURPOSE: To provide a disk driver having a function correcting a thermal off- track.
CONSTITUTION: A correction piece 29 whose thermal expansion coefficient is different from that of a disk is combined with a carriage arm 25 being a part of a head carriage 20 having a lower carriage 21 loading a magnetic head 23 and an upper carriage 22 loading another magnetic head, and the carriage arm is deformed, making an engagement part between a pin 26 and a drive shaft 30 a fulcrum, by the deformation action of the correction piece according to an ambient temp. change. Thus, the positional deviation of the magnetic head 23 loaded on the head carriage is corrected. Further, by constituting the upper carriage of a length shorter than the lower carriage with material having the rate of thermal expansion larger than the lower carriage, the positional deviation of the magnetic head caused by a difference between both lengths is corrected.
