PURPOSE: To use a device for the recording and reproduction of the signal of a source other than a disk film unless the disk film is loaded by controlling the image reproduction of the disk film in response to the loading and unloading operation of the disk cartridge.
CONSTITUTION: A contact 258a for inputting the output 312 of an NP inverting circuit 304 to a recording circuit 306 operates as well as other contacts 258b and 258c simultaneously according to whether the disk cartridge 400 is loaded or unloaded; the contact 258b controls the power feeding form a power source terminal 314 to a light source 616, and the contact 258c controls the power feeding from a power source terminal 316 to the image pickup part 104 of a camera 100. Therefore, when the disk cartridge 400 is not loaded, the contacts 258aW258c are as shown in a figure. When a video signal is supplied to an external signal input terminal 318, this is sent to a tape recording and reproducing part 106 through a recording circuit 306 and recorded on a video tape. If a mode switch 324 is in monitor mode at this time, the image is reproduced on a TV receiver 330.
