Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely control the position of a magnetic head 31 in accordance with the kind of disk cartridges.
CONSTITUTION: When an opening part 123 for magnetic head is provided on the disk cartridge, a detection pin 4 is extended into the opening part 123 and lowered to have the magnetic head 31 descend by a lift plate 1 turnably mounted on a cartridge holder 19 to which the disk cartridge is inserted. When there is no opening part 123 on the disk cartridge, the detection pin 4 is held at the ascending position while being supported on the upper surface part of disk cartridge, then the magnetic head 31 is kept at the ascending position.
