To provide a technique of recording and reproducing a disk for performing processing even when the judgement delays for the number of error pulses for each sector by a microcomputer is not in time.
The disk subjected to trial writing by gradually changing the recording conditions for each of the sectors is played back and the results of the error pulse counts obtained from reproducing waveforms and the results of analog/digital conversion are stored for the several sectors into a data memory. The results of the reproduction can be judged in a lump after the processing of the several sectors by reading out the results stored into the memory and therefore the system adaptive to the high-speed processing can be realized and the load of the microcomputer can be reduced.
