In picture recording and reproducing processing, when the program recorded on a hard disk device is reproduced, a navigation screen is displayed first (S101); a file corresponding to a specified program is reproduced if reproduction command operation is made there (S105); and all programs (files) recorded on the hard disk device are successively reproduced for each three seconds if a picture recording key is operated (S107-S109). Additionally, when a reproduction key is operated while the reproduction is made for each three seconds, the program (file) during reproduction is normally reproduced from the beginning to the end (S119).
