Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a required perpendicularity (skew) of an optical axis of an optical pickup to a disk surface without depending upon improvement of accuracy of individual parts.
SOLUTION: Three end parts out of four end parts of two guide shafts 35 and 36 for freely carryably supporting the optical pickup 14 are supported via inclination adjusting cams 37 on a mechanical chassis 3, and heights of the three end parts from a mechanical chassis reference surface are individually adjusted to perform skew adjustment, while the end parts of the guide shafts are held between shaft holders 43 and the inclination adjusting cams 37, so that even when a strong impact is received by dropping, etc., during transportation, the guide shafts and torsion springs 42 are stably held in their fixed positions.
