To reduce the abrasion loss of a friction member and reduce the cost by arranging an aluminum alloy composite material containing fly ash in a rotor, at least, in a sliding part with the friction member.
This disk rotor 1 has a bottomed cylinder part in its internal circumference and is provided with an appropriately disk-shaped base part 2 composed of aluminum die-cast alloy and sliding parts which are positioned in its both faces and abut on a brake pad, or a friction meter. The sliding part 3 is formed of an aluminum alloy composite material, its components are consisted of aluminum die-cast alloy, fly ash, and an inorganic fiber, the fly ash is composed of 25 wt.% of Al2O3, 60 wt.% of SiO2, 5 wt.% of Fe2O3, 2 wt.% of CaO, and 8 wt.% of others, and the inorganic fiber used is alumina fiber. This constitution can provide the disk rotor with superior opponent attacking performance, reduce the abrasion loss of the friction member, and reduce the cost.
