Title:
DISK-SHAPED ROTARY TOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3915028
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the lateral vibration of the base of a disk-shaped rotary tool during cutting by dividing the base into a specified even number of fan- shaped areas around its rotational axis and arranging the areas of maximum residual stress and the areas of minimum residual stress alternately in the circumferential direction.
SOLUTION: In order to restrain the vibration of the number of aimed joint diameters n=1-11, especially 1-5, division into 2-22 or 2-10 areas in the circumferential direction and the alternate arrangement in the circumferential direction of the areas of maximum residual stress and the areas of minimum residual stress are effective to restrain lateral vibration. In hammering, compressive stress is generated at its position, instread of the generation of compressive stress in a prescribed area, tensile stress can be generated to make nonuniformity in stress distribution to form the maximum value. For example, a prescribed area is treated so that part of a base is contracted by heat tension, laser heating, etc.
