Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject woven fabric free from the super-compact state of yarns at the center and the circumferential part by using a fiber easily soluble in a matrix resin as a part of radial yarns and circumferential yarns and dissolving said easily soluble yarn in the matrix resin in the forming of a composite material.

CONSTITUTION: The objective disk-shaped woven fabric is produced by spirally weaving a circumferential yarn 3 into radial yarns 2 radially extending from the center. Fibers 2b, 3b made of a material soluble in the matrix resin of the composite material are used as a part of the radial yarns 2 and/or the circumferential yarns 3. Concretely, radial yarns 2a made of high-strength elastic fiber such as aramid fiber and radial yarns 2b made of easily soluble material fibers are alternately disposed and a circumferential yarn 3a made of a high- strength elastic fiber and a circumferential yarn 3b made of an easily soluble fiber are alternately woven in spiral form into the radial yarns to form a woven fabric having double spiral structure.
