PURPOSE: To automate dispensing by inputting data on prescriptions of each prescribed number unit in order of acceptance of the prescriptions to a controller and executing dispensing by previously displaying the data in delivery sections of respective medicines, then placing the medicines on intermittently operated transporting conveyors, thereby delivering the medicines.

CONSTITUTION: The delivery sections 31 to 35 of the medicines set by kinds of medicines or forms of medicines are provided with the dispensing and transporting device for executing delivery of the medicines by moving buckets (b) on the intermittently operated transporting conveyors 3, 4. The data on the prescriptions of each prescribed number unit are inputted to the controller and the dispensing is executed by previously displaying the data in the delivery sections 31 to 35 of the respective medicines. The buckets (b) entered with IDs corresponding to the prescriptions are placed on the transporting conveyors 3, 4 and are moved successively from the prescriptions which are received at every completion of charging of the dispensed medicines into grab bucket type loaders 41... to be charged with the medicines after completion of dispensing and with which the total number of the intended dispensing is completed. The IDs of the buckets (b) are read and the delivery of the medicines is executed before arrival of the respective medicines at the delivery sections 31 to 35.
