Abstract:
A disperger plate segment (14), for removing contaminants from recycled, or recovered, paper and packaging materials includes radially concentric rows (26) of teeth (28). Each row of teeth includes teeth (28) and channels (30) disposed intermediate the teeth (28). Each of the teeth (28) have an upper, top surface (36), a radially inner face extending from the channel base surface (34) to the tooth top surface (36), and a radially outer face extending from the channel base (34) surface to the tooth top surface (36). The teeth inner and outer faces each have a groove (42,44) extending from the tooth top surface (36) to a position intermediate the tooth top surface (36) and the channel base surface (34).
