To provide a dispersion of an aqueous polymer composition which is satisfactorily dispersive to water, free of stickiness at the time of coating and can form a film excellent in strengths.

The dispersion of the aqueous polymer composition is formed by dispersing in an aqueous solvent polymer particles having a two-layer structure consisting of copolymers having constituent monomers that are different from each other. The two-layered copolymers layers composing the polymer particles consist of a copolymer (A) that makes 5-95 mass% of a monomer represented by general formula (I) and 5-40 mass% of a polymerizable carboxylic acid and a salt thereof its main constituent monomers and a copolymer (B) that makes a monomer represented by general formula (II) its main constituent monomer. The dispersion of the aqueous polymer composition obtained is formulated into cosmetics.
