Abstract:
To provide a dispersion compensator for compensating the wavelength dispersion of an optical fiber transmission line.
Since the dispersion compensator constituted of cascade-connecting a first dispersion compensator and a second dispersion compensator having constitution similar to that of the first dispersion compensator is provided with a means for connecting both the ends of a chirped Bragg grating to respective optical circulators, the dispersion compensator capable of compensating a large amount of dispersion values or the dispersion compensator capable of controlling fine dispersion can be provided by the small number of parts.
